BIONIC iPhone Duo Charger - An Aluminum Stand That Props Up a Foldable Phone Like a Tiny Monitor

When you unfold a foldable phone, the screen gets bigger, but it's awkward to know where to put it when your hands are busy. BIONIC's iPhone Duo Charger fills that gap like a tiny monitor on your desk. I like that it chose to stand the phone upright instead of laying it flat next to your keyboard.

🔍 Why It Caught My Eye

The idea of "standing" it up on your desk

An unfolded foldable is basically a small tablet. But laid flat on a desk it's hard to view, and propped against something it feels unstable. This stand uses a wide base and a slim arm to lift the phone to screen height. I figured it would suit keeping a reference document open next to a laptop.

The materials look clean

The base is anodized aluminum and the arm is polished stainless steel. There's no extra frame around the phone's bezel, so it doesn't stand out next to Apple devices. For someone who likes design-driven desk accessories, it fits my taste quite well.

It even thinks of the Apple Pencil

A long groove at the front of the base lets you rest an Apple Pencil there. It's said to be for storage only, not charging. The benefit is just that a Pencil rolling around among the cables ends up in one place, but it makes a surprising difference for desk tidiness.

🤔 Things That Give Me Pause

The price isn't small

Pre-order is €219 and the regular price is €239. That's a lot for a stand that organizes a phone and a Pencil, so I think it only pays off if it lives permanently on your home or office desk. It's not something you carry around.

You have to buy the puck separately

Despite "Charger" in the name, the base price doesn't include an Apple MagSafe puck. You need to prepare the puck and a power adapter separately before it actually charges.

The unverified parts

It's said to aim for stability with a weighty base and rubber contact surfaces, but there's no independent verification yet of how much it wobbles when you tap the screen. Since it's still at the pre-order stage, waiting for hands-on reviews is the safer move.

📋 Product Features (Subjective Ratings)

  • Design: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Portability: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (desk use only)
  • Practicality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
  • Value for money: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (considering the separate puck purchase)

🛒 Before You Buy

✅ Recommended for

  • People who often keep a foldable iPhone unfolded and in use at their desk
  • People who want to gather desk clutter like an Apple Pencil and cables in one spot
  • People who like clean desk accessories in aluminum and stainless steel

❌ Not recommended for

  • People who mostly carry their phone in a pocket and don't need a stand
  • People who don't own a MagSafe puck and don't want the extra expense
  • People who'd rather wait for real-world reviews than buy on pre-order

🎯 Final Verdict

If you're in the habit of unfolding your foldable and standing it on your desk, this is a pretty convincing stand. The tiny-monitor silhouette, the metal materials, and details like the Pencil slot are all tidy enough to lift the feel of a desk setup a notch.

On the other hand, the price is steep, and you'll need a puck and an adapter separately. Since it's still a pre-order, it's safer to judge things like wobble and finish after real-world reviews come out.

So for now, I've put it on my "desk accessories I want" list and decided to wait for post-launch reviews.
