Sony ELF-MN1 - A 6-Inch 3D Display You Can Watch Without Glasses

A display that makes a character look like it's standing inside the screen, with no glasses or headset, has landed on the desk. This is Sony's ELF-MN1. It's small, but the image is so striking that it caught my eye.

📸 Product Tour

The character looks like it's floating inside the screen above the acrylic stand.

The 3D effect stands out even more in dark scenes.

Placed on a shelf, it fits in like a small display piece.

Here it sits beside a PC work desk and works like a secondary screen.

🔍 Why It Caught My Attention

No glasses needed

3D displays have been hard to get into because glasses are a hassle. This one is viewed on a clear acrylic stand without any glasses, so it looks easy to keep on a desk and enjoy casually.

Connects to laptops and smartphones

It reportedly shows content from a laptop or smartphone. It works together with the devices you already own and does not need a dedicated device.

Compact size and an object-like look

At 6 inches, it can sit on a desk or shelf without getting in the way. Even when it's off, the acrylic stand makes it look like a small decorative piece.

🤔 What Gives Me Pause

Compatible content

If there isn't much compatible content, it may not get much use. I'd need to check the official information to see what content it can show.

Price and where to buy

I couldn't confirm the price or whether it will launch in Korea.

🎯 Final Verdict

I find it interesting that Sony turned glasses-free 3D into a small object for your desk. It leans more toward the joy of looking than toward practicality.

Once the compatible content and price are confirmed, it could be a quite appealing desk gadget for the right person.
